STRATA-G
FERZ's published recursive governance architecture for highly autonomous AI systems.
What STRATA-G is
STRATA-G is an architectural position rather than a single mechanism. It describes how the capabilities required to govern highly autonomous AI systems, constraint enforcement, emergency coordination, explainability, cultural adaptation, controlled evolution, and adaptive security, interact as one coherent system rather than as a set of disconnected controls.
The architecture is public by design. FERZ published it as a defensive disclosure to establish prior art and place the architectural approach in the public record, while the implementation approach is maintained as a trade secret. STRATA-G is the governance vision; the FERZ pathway engines are the concrete operational architectures that realize specific capabilities within it.
The six governance domains
STRATA-G organizes governance into six interacting domains. The published architecture describes how they compose into a unified system rather than treating each as a separate tool.
How it relates to the FERZ engines
The FERZ pathway engines answer a narrower question, how determinism is assured, and each implements one architectural pathway for it. STRATA-G answers the broader question of how multiple governance capabilities are organized into one coherent system. The two are complementary: the architecture sets the frame, and the engines do the concrete operational work within it.
Where STRATA-G names a governance capability as part of the whole, individual FERZ engines provide the operational implementation of specific capabilities. Deterministic constraint enforcement, for example, is the domain of the pathway engines such as DELIA and LASO(f). STRATA-G does not replace those engines; it describes the system they participate in.
Intellectual property and disclosure
STRATA-G's IP posture is deliberate and is the reason the architecture is publicly described here. The architecture is published as a defensive disclosure in the IP.com Prior Art Database, which establishes prior art and preserves freedom to operate. The implementation approach is not published and is maintained as a trade secret. The combination keeps the architectural position public and citable while protecting the operational know-how.
At a glance
Current state and engagement
STRATA-G is a published architectural framework. Its operational capabilities are delivered through the FERZ pathway engines rather than as a separate deployable product. FERZ welcomes two kinds of conversation.

STRATA-G is an architectural framework, not a separate deployable product. The operational capabilities it describes are delivered through the FERZ pathway engines. Conversations about realizing specific capabilities happen through engagement.
The architecture was first published in terms of artificial general intelligence. FERZ frames it today for highly autonomous AI systems generally; the governance principles apply across advanced autonomous systems rather than depending on any particular threshold of capability.
It means FERZ deliberately placed the architecture into the public prior-art record so the approach cannot be patented around, while keeping the implementation confidential. It is a positive IP choice, not the absence of one.
Where it fits
STRATA-G is one of two FERZ governance architecture pages, alongside VECTARA(f). Both describe how multiple governance capabilities are organized into a coherent system. They are distinct from the five FERZ pathway engines, LASO(f), DELIA, the FERZ Behavioral Engine, CausaCore, and Constitutional Blockchain, which each implement a specific mechanism for assuring determinism. For how the catalog fits together, see the products overview.
