Intellectual Directorship and Authorship

All FERZ works, including essays, white papers, technical documents, and related public materials, are the product of human intellectual direction. FERZ asserts legal and intellectual authorship over them.

Conception, thesis, argumentative structure, asserted claims, and final wording are owned and validated by named human authors. No tool, including any AI system, sets conceptual direction, decides what a work asserts, or places final wording into the record unreviewed. Where such tools assist, their role is confined to the linguistic and editorial surface: phrasing alternatives, formatting, and drafting against a structure a human author has already fixed.

This standard is maintained through the Cognitive Authority Retention Protocol (CARP), a component of FERZ's Meta-Recursive Cognitive Framework (MRCF). Under CARP, a human author retains veto and override at every stage. Any assistive contribution enters as a suggestion, never as a decision. Nothing is published without explicit human acceptance.

FERZ holds its own work to the standard it advocates in its products: a human authority, not an automated system, is accountable for what the work asserts.

FERZ defines and maintains this standard on its own authority, governed by CARP. It is not derived from external frameworks. Where useful to locate the standard against recognized practice, it sits alongside ISO/IEC 42001, which addresses AI management systems, while governing a question those frameworks do not specify: who holds intellectual authority over a work.
